The prestige Wooden Lodge is just what the discerning
holidaymaker has been waiting for. Our
60sq metre Cosalt Lautrec Lodge
<<Chalet>> is 50% larger than an ordinary mobile home. With full
gas central heating and air conditioning, the Lodge can comfortably sleep up to
8 people. You will be able to holiday in style in this 34 x 20 foot Holiday Lodge, situated on Siblu’s
4* flagship site, Les Charmettes, in La Palmyre,
south west France.
Having spent the last 25 years
holidaying in France, we realise that sometimes you need another holiday to
recover from the one you’ve just had. The packing alone can be problematic and
perhaps the accommodation you’ve booked lacks the home comforts you are used
to. We have always found it strange that most holiday
lets in France lack essential kitchen utensils, such as a garlic press or a bottle
opener. Our home is equipped with
everything you need for a perfect holiday. Apart from a fully equipped kitchen with
dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, we also provide an extensive
personal library, bikes, golf bags and trolleys, games, boules, books, beach
tent, parasol, a picnic table and chairs, picnic rug and even a rucksack to
pack your picnic in.
Our aim is to provide you with
a fantastic holiday experience, in larger than average accommodation, situated
on a superb campsite in the Charente Maritime region of France.
The Lodge has 3 good sized bedrooms,
large lounge, kitchen and dining area, with English sockets throughout. There is an additional 18 square metres of
living space in a fully enclosed side terrace (6 x 3 metres) with table and
chairs, and a separate sun deck with sun loungers, sun umbrella and gas BBQ.

Please
note that pets are not allowed under any circumstances.
The large lounge has an LCD TV providing English satellite television,
and a DVD / CD player with a selection of DVD’s. The dining area has a table with six chairs with
cushions and a child’s highchair.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, washing
machine, gas cooker with electric grill, fridge freezer, microwave, slow
cooker, steamer, electric kettle and toaster. As this is our holiday home, you
will find a vast array of crockery and kitchen utensils, from whisks and
weighing scales, to oyster openers and crab picks.

The bathroom
has a full size bath with a thermostatically controlled shower over, WC, and
vanity unit.
Accessible from the side patio door is an additional 18 square
metres of living space. This fully
enclosed side terrace (6 x 3 metres) allows you to enjoy outside living
whatever the weather. The three sides can be rolled up when it is hot or leave
them down to protect you from the elements during any rainy spells. The terrace
is furnished with a large dining table and seating for eight with comfortable chair
cushions and two small side tables for your drinks. There is a small kitchen
area with a George Foreman health grill with griddle, an electric oven, large
toaster and a coffee machine - perfect for your outside holiday breakfasts. You
will also find here a tumble dryer, a 12v cool box and a chest containing beach
equipment and family games.
There is a separate two tier sun deck at the rear with 2 sun
loungers, sun umbrella and gas BBQ.
Three bikes (2 gent’s and 1 ladies) are
parked at the side of the Lodge and parking is available for 2 cars to the
front.

Separate
cloak room with WC and washbasin.
The double bedroom is fitted with wardrobes, bedside tables and
dressing table with hairdryer. The two twin
bedrooms are both fitted with wardrobes and bedside tables. The beds in both of these rooms can be pushed
together to make doubles. For additional sleeping space the sofa in the lounge
area converts to a double bed.
In the hall you will find a utility cupboard with iron and ironing
board, vacuum cleaner, brooms, mops and buckets and many cleaning materials. Bin
bags, dusters, dishcloths, dishwasher tablets and washing machine detergent are
all provided. There are two clothes airers and pegs.

As we
are constantly updating our facilities, you may find improvements on your
arrival that are not represented in the above photographs.
Although
we do NOT provide sheets, pillow cases, duvet covers or towels, we do realise
how much you have to pack into your car for your holidays. Therefore, we have tried to supply all the
necessary items that usually take up so much room. We have an extensive personal library, a
selection of board and card games, a set of ‘real’ boules, badminton rackets,
picnic chairs and small folding table, beach tent, parasol, fishing rods, and a
ladies and two gent’s bike.
If you are golfers like we are, we have even provided two golf
bags and two trolleys; all you have to do is bring your own clubs and
balls. There are two fabulous golf courses
nearby. 10 minutes drive away is the newly opened 9 hole links course running alongside
the beach at La Palmyre, and 5 minutes further on, just outside St Palais, is the
beautiful Golf de Royan complex, with its challenging 18 hole
course and 6 hole compact course.
THE PARC
Les Charmettes Holiday Parc, is just
3 miles from La Palmyre Beach, and has just about everything you could want for
a fantastic holiday.

Hints and Tips For Travelling to Les Charmettes
If using a Sat Nav, Les Charmettes is located at Rue De Monplaisir
– D141E1
Avenue De La Palmyre, 17570 Les Mathes
If travelling from Calais we advise the A16, A28 route which
goes near Rouen and Le Mans thus totally avoiding Paris
If travelling from St Malo or Caen
once you have left the A83 motorway and are on the D137 it is advisable to
avoid Marans, due to large traffic jams and very long
delays. To do so, just before you enter the town of Moreilles
turn right at the large new roundabout onto the D10a, signposted Puyravault, and follow directions to La Rochelle
and then follow signs for
Rochefort – Les Mathes
- La Tremblade. (If your SatNav
doesn’t instantly recognise this route it will soon pick it up).
